Gevu is the operations platform for UK cleaning companies. It runs the whole job in one place: quoting and site surveys, rotas, GPS clock-ins, task checklists, payroll, invoicing, compliance documents and a live portal for your clients, with a separate portal for short-let property managers.
Yes. Custodia is now called Gevu. Your account, logins, data and apps carry on exactly as before; only the name has changed.
Most companies schedule their first shifts on the day they sign up. Add your company details, your sites and your staff, then invite your team. Each cleaner gets an invite by email and signs in to the app themselves.
No. Most teams start with one or two sites, run them on Gevu for a few weeks, then move the rest across. Your existing contracts keep running while you switch.
Yes. One Gevu app for Android and iPhone covers cleaners, managers and owners. Android installs are available from our website, and iPhone access is by TestFlight invitation. The web app also works in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer.
Plans for cleaning companies start at £59 a month on Starter, which covers up to 2 staff and 2 sites. Growth, Professional and Elite add more staff, sites and features. You can pay monthly or annually, and every current price is on the pricing page.
Every new cleaning company gets 10 days of account access with no card needed. Choose a paid plan when you are ready; billing starts when you complete checkout. If you do not choose a plan before the 10 days end, paid features lock until you upgrade. Property manager plans have their own 14-day free trial.
Yes. Upgrade, downgrade or cancel from Billing in your dashboard. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee. A cancellation takes effect at the end of your billing period, and your data is kept rather than deleted.
Staff clock in from the app, and the clock-in is checked against the site location by GPS, or by tapping an NFC tag on site if you use them. Late starts and missed shifts are flagged to you straight away, and task checklists and photos show what was done on each visit.
Hours come from real clock-ins and clock-outs, not from memory. Staff sign their weekly timesheet in the app, you approve it, and approved hours become payslips without re-keying. Staff can see their hours and wages building up during the pay period.
Staff request leave in the app and you approve it in one tap. Any shifts that leave uncovers are flagged on your dashboard so you can offer them to the rest of your team, or pass the work to another cleaning company through the Job Exchange.
Cleaners working alone can raise an SOS from the app, which alerts their managers with their location. If a cleaner working alone goes quiet during a shift, the app checks on them first, then alerts owners and managers if they do not respond.
Walk the site with your phone and add each area with photos. Gevu suggests the tasks for each area and works out the cleaning time, which becomes the price on a branded proposal. You check and adjust everything before it goes out.
Yes. Clients open the proposal from a link, read it on any device, and accept and sign it online. An accepted proposal moves straight into a contract and onto your rota.
Clients get their own portal showing each visit as it happens, the documents you share with them, their invoices and any issues or orders they have raised. They never see your staff records, pay or internal settings.
Yes. Invoices are built from the work that was delivered, and clients can pay them by card online. Gevu connects to Xero, FreeAgent and Sage so invoices and contacts stay in step with your accounts.
Yes. Property managers connect Airbnb and other booking calendars, and turnover cleans are scheduled between every checkout and check-in, with linen stock tracked. The cleaning company sees those jobs in the same rota, clock-in and invoicing as its other work.
Yes. Gevu drafts risk assessments, method statements and COSHH assessments from your site and service details, ready for you to review and issue. That saves hours on every tender and new contract.
You publish a policy, choose who must sign it, and staff read and sign it in the app. Each signature is kept against the exact version they signed, so you can show who agreed to what, and when.
Staff report incidents and site issues from the app with photos, and clients can raise issues from their portal. Each one is logged with a full history of who did what, so you can show a client or auditor how it was handled.
Yes. Gevu produces written statements of employment for new starters and the employee liability information you need when staff transfer under TUPE.
Yes. Data is encrypted in transit, every person only sees what their role allows, sign-in supports multi-factor authentication, and sensitive actions are logged. We process personal data under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and the privacy policy sets out the detail.
Your database and files are stored on servers in the EU, in Ireland.
Yes. You can give your accountant their own login to the figures they need, without sharing your password or giving them access to the rest of the business.
